The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the ESR Journals are proud to announce the launch of the new spin-off journal European Radiology Breast. The journal is created in collaboration with European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI), and it aims to be a dedicated forum for advancing multimodality breast imaging.
The editorial team, led by Editor-in-Chief Sophia Zackrisson (Malmo, Sweden), will be supported by the Senior Deputy Editor Eva M. Fallenberg (Munich, Germany) and Deputy Editor Ioannis Sechopoulos (Nijmegen, The Netherlands).
“The Journal focuses on both clinical and technical developments with a goal of improving early detection, patient care and clinical outcomes in the diagnosis and management of breast diseases,” says Prof. Zackrisson. “With it, we hope to explore innovations within the field, address current challenges, and offer clinically meaningful insights into breast imaging.” The journal is open to submissions of original articles, reviews, letters-to-the-editor, and practice-oriented articles.
“Radiology is developing at a remarkable speed, creating both new opportunities and new responsibilities for our community”, said Prof. Michael Füchsjäger, President of EUSOBI. “The launch of European Radiology Breast represents an important endeavour to provide a dedicated platform for high-quality research, innovation, and knowledge exchange in breast imaging. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen collaboration, support education, and further enhance the contribution of breast radiology to patient-centered care and public health.”
European Radiology Breast is a Gold Open Access journal and is published by the ESR’s long-standing publishing partner Springer.
