Membership for trainees

Benefits for ESR members include many different and exclusive things and activities. The ESR offers 3 different membership types for trainees:

  • Radiology residents (residing in Europe) - € 11 per year
  • Professionals of allied sciences in training, students (residing in Europe) - € 11 per year
  • Corresponding Members (radiology residents, professionals of allied sciences in training, and students; all residing outside Europe) - free of charge

ECR for trainees

Registration

The largest European congress for medical imaging, held in Vienna anually, offers reduced registration fees for trainees (special fees for Young Trainee Member or Young Trainee Non-Member).

Rising Stars Programme

The Rising Stars Programme is a part of the scientific and educational portfolio of the annual ECR, and is designed for residents, students, radiographers and trainee radiographers.

Each ECR offers of Basic Sessions, Student Sessions, Joint Sessions with ESOR (European School of Radiology), Case-Based Diagnosis Training, EFRS Radiographers’ Basic Session, and the Radiology Trainees Forum Programme including the RTF Highlighted Lectures and the RTF Quiz.

ECR 2018 - Invest in the Youth

"Invest in the Youth" (IITY) is the ESR’s support programme for trainees. 1,000 places will be available for ECR 2018; successful candidates receive free registration and up to four nights hotel accommodation.

Application for the IITY programme is subject to online application and abstract submission.

Application is open from July 3 to October 10, 2017.

Decisions will be available by December 2017.

Representation of trainees within the ESR

The Radiology Trainees Forum (RTF) was established as an organisation to represent the views of radiology trainees. It is a subcommittee of the ESR Education Committee.
