Vienna, June 19, 2024 – Building upon the resounding success of last year, the European Society of Radiology (ESR) is thrilled to announce the continuation of the Escape Room Tour, captivating participants at multiple esteemed radiology congresses across Europe.
Operated by the Young Radiologists organisation from Charité Berlin and generously supported by Siemens Healthineers, the ESR Escape Room promises a thrilling experience for congress attendees all around Europe.
The Escape Room Tour successfully kicked off at SERAM in Barcelona, Spain (May 22-25) with all slots fully booked and will visit several radiology congresses in Europe in 2024. Next stops are SCR in Geneva, Switzerland (June 20-22), SIRM in Milan, Italy (June 20-23), and SRIM in Constanța, Romania (September 27-29).
The concept of the ESR Escape Room is designed to provide a fun and interactive activity for attendees, focusing on radiology-themed puzzles and challenges. Participants must work as a team to solve a series of complex radiology cases and puzzles in a playful setting. All puzzles, knowledge questions, and tasks within the room revolve around radiology and are aimed at all levels of training. Up to five participants can take part in each game and the fastest teams will win exciting prizes.
Carlo Catalano, Chair of the ESR Board of Directors and Chair of Radiology at Policlinico Umberto I and Professor of Radiology at Sapienza University of Rome, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued success of the Escape Room on Tour initiative, stating, “In past years, the Escape Room has grown into one of the standout attractions at our own meeting the European Congress of Radiology. The overwhelming response led us to the idea of organising the Escape Room on Tour which, having had two stops last year, will be present at even more prestigious radiology meetings in 2024. Through our great relations with other radiological societies in Europe we can bring the ESR Escape Room experience to a wider audience. Moreover, this endeavour offers attendees a unique opportunity for team building and participation in a thrilling setup, fostering collaboration and camaraderie.”
